SPECIALTY APPLICATIONSWhy Factories Choose Specialty Tapes?
Less Machine Downtime
Prevents line stoppages from degraded tape or melted residue on equipment.
Control Maintenance Costs
More durable tape means fewer replacements and repairs.
Meet Your Standards
Choose models certified to the standards your plant requires, with supporting documentation.

4 on-site conditions general-purpose tapes can't handle
High Heat
Tape must not shrink or wrinkle in ovens, and must remove cleanly.
Paint ovens · Wave solder · Bag sealers
Outdoors & Humidity
Adhesive must not degrade under sun, rain and humidity.
Exterior car parts · Outdoor signs · HVAC ducts
Automotive Parts Tape · Automotive Trim Tape · Maintenance Foil Tape
Abrasion & Impact
Tape must withstand foot traffic, wheels and vibration.
Factory floors · Stairs and ramps · Display frames
Floor Marking Tape · Anti-Slip Tape · Glass Frame Spacer Tape
Electrical & ESD
Tape must insulate, prevent static and help dissipate heat.
Circuit boards · Motors, transformers · LED lighting
Electrical & Electronic Tape · Thermal Conductive Tape · PCB Tape

Choose the Right Spec in 5 Steps
Example: choosing PET and high-temperature tapes
Check the Peak Temperature
Use the actual peak, not the average
Choose the Adhesive
Will the tape be removed later?
Check the Surface
Some plastics make tape peel off easily
Check Breakdown Voltage and Thickness
Check the breakdown voltage in each model's TDS
Test on Real Parts
Results from your production line are the final answer

Frequently Asked Questions
Compiled from real questions our engineers receive in the field
QHow are specialty tapes different from general-purpose tapes?+
Specialty tapes use films and adhesives engineered for one specific condition, such as high heat, electricity or humidity while general-purpose tapes peel off, melt or leave residue under these conditions.
QShould I choose PET tape or Polyimide tape?+
It depends on the peak temperature on site. Up to 130°C, use PET tape for the same result at a better price. Above 130°C up to 260°C, you need Polyimide tape because PET will shrink and wrinkle.
QCan PET tape be used in powder coating ovens?+
Standard PET is not suitable, because most powder coating ovens run at 180–200°C above the limit of standard PET. We recommend Polyimide tape or green PET tape made specifically for powder coating.
QWhy won't tape stick to PP or PE plastic?+
PP and PE are low-surface-energy materials, so general adhesives cannot fully wet out. Use a tape formulated for low-surface-energy plastics, or apply a primer before bonding.
QCan I order tape slit to my part width?+
Yes. We have our own slitting machines and cut to the width you specify, reducing tape waste and on-site cutting time.
QCan I request samples and TDS / MSDS documents?+
Yes. You can request samples to test on your actual line plus TDS / MSDS documents to support your evaluation before ordering.
