Surface Preparation

การรีดไล่อากาศให้แนบสนิท

ใช้ลูกกลิ้งยาง (Rubber Roller) หรือที่รีดพลาสติกขอบนุ่ม รีดกดทับลงบนแผ่นฟิล์มในทิศทางเดียว เพื่อไล่ฟองอากาศออกให้หมด การรีดที่ถูกวิธีจะช่วยให้กาวแทรกซึมและสร้างพื้นที่สัมผัส (Wet-out) เข้ากับความขรุขระเล็กน้อยของพื้นผิวได้อย่างสมบูรณ์แบบ

Cutting & Clean Removal
การตัดขอบและการลอกออก

ตัดขอบฟิล์มส่วนเกินด้วยใบมีดคมเพื่อป้องกันการฉีกขาด เมื่อเสร็จสิ้นกระบวนการทำงานหรือขนส่ง ควรลอกฟิล์มออกโดยดึงย้อนกลับทำมุม 90 ถึง 180 องศาด้วยความเร็วสม่ำเสมอ เพื่อลดแรงดึงรั้งที่ชั้นกาว ทำให้ลอกออกได้สะอาด 100% โดยไม่ทิ้งคราบ (Residue-Free)

ความทนทานต่ออุณหภูมิความร้อน

วัสดุฟิล์มทำจากโพลีเอทิลีน (PE) ซึ่งมีจุดหลอมเหลวต่ำ จึงไม่ทนต่อความร้อนสูงจัด ไม่ควรนำไปใช้ในสภาพแวดล้อมที่อุณหภูมิสูงกว่า 70°C เป็นเวลานาน หรือใกล้เปลวไฟ เพราะฟิล์มจะหดตัว ละลาย และทำให้อบกาวติดแน่นกับพื้นผิวจนลอกไม่ออก (Baking Effect)

ข้อควรระวังในการติดตั้งและพื้นผิว

ห้ามดึงรั้งฟิล์มให้ตึงเกินไปขณะติดตั้ง (Over-stretching) เพราะเนื้อฟิล์มจะพยายามหดตัวกลับ ส่งผลให้ขอบเผยอและฝุ่นเข้าไปสะสม นอกจากนี้ หลีกเลี่ยงการติดบนผิวสีที่เพิ่งพ่นเสร็จและยังไม่แห้งสนิท (Uncured Paint) เพราะกาวอาจทำปฏิกิริยาทิ้งรอยด่างดวง (Ghosting)

Engineering Note: การทดสอบความเข้ากันได้ก่อนใช้งานจริง (Pre-Application Testing)

เนื่องจากปัจจัยแวดล้อมทางวิศวกรรม เช่น ระดับความชื้น อุณหภูมิ และความหยาบของพื้นผิว มีผลโดยตรงต่อแรงยึดเกาะของกาว Medium-Tack จึงขอแนะนำอย่างยิ่งให้ทดสอบติดเทป PG055 บนพื้นที่เล็กๆ ที่ซ่อนอยู่ของวัสดุจริง ทิ้งไว้ 48-72 ชั่วโมงแล้วทดลองลอกออก เพื่อตรวจสอบว่าเทปไม่ทำปฏิกิริยาทำลายพื้นผิว หรือทิ้งคราบกาวก่อนนำไปใช้ครอบคลุมชิ้นงานทั้งหมด
